FAQ's

How do I book?

Send us an email with the motorhome you wish to take your holiday in and the dates you require and we can check the availability for you. We shall then forward a booking form to be filled in and a £250 deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance of the hire charge will need to be paid 6 weeks prior to the start of the hire (If your hire falls within 6 weeks of booking the full hire fee will need to be paid to secure your booking.) The damage security deposit will need to be paid 48hrs prior to collection. Please see the questions below for information on the damage security deposit.

What documents do I need to provide?

In order to be insured whilst driving our motorhome we require a copy of the valid driving license and 2x proofs of address (matching the driving licence) from each person that will be driving the vehicle, these need to be within 90 days prior to the date of collection and can be in the form of any of the following;
*Electricity bill
*Water bill
*Gas bill
*Broadband/landline document
*Council tax bill
*TV licence reminder
*Bank statement
*Credit card statement
*Mortgage statement
*Polling card
*HMRC Self-assessment/tax credit

If you are booking with us from outside of the UK as well as the above documentation we will also require a copy of your passport.

How much is the damage deposit and what is it for?

A damage deposit of £1000 is payable 48 hours before the hire period begins and is taken to cover any damage to the motorhome or breakages of the equipment whilst in your possession. When the motorhome is returned to us it will be thoroughly checked over and once deemed to be in a satisfactory condition with toilet empty, interior cleaned, fuel tank replenished and no internal or external damages, the £1000 would be replaced into your account within 7 working days of your return. If this isn’t the case you will be deducted the cost of these issues and any remaining would be returned to your account.

Is there a mileage or location limit?

Here at R&R Motorhome hire we want you to adventure and explore just as much as we do. We have a limit of 100 miles per day (so 4 nights = 400 miles) for any bookings under 7 nights hire. Over this, we have a cap on free mileage at 1000 miles per week.

Anything over these milages (which would be hard pressed to do) will be charged at 50p a per mile. As for location, we understand that Scotland and certain areas of England have some rather narrow roads and whilst not banned from travelling them, we ask clients to remember they are driving vehicles larger than a car and to use common sense when considering whether to proceed on certain roads.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we have certain vehicles that are pet friendly and what better way to enjoy your holiday than taking all members of the family with you. All we ask is for a £50 fee to go towards the additional cleaning costs and that pets do not go on the soft furnishings in the vehicle.

What are the hire collection and drop off times?

Due to our vehicles being very busy it is not uncommon for us to see a motorhome returning in the morning and leaving again in the afternoon, therefore we have times we need to stick to for a smooth turnaround. The collection time for you to pick up your motorhome is from 3pm on the first day of hire and the drop off time for you to return the vehicle to us is 10am. A little deviation may occasionally be possible with prior arrangement.
